Duet collaboration with long time friend and music partner, wind instrumentalist, Didier Malherbe who formed the band « Gong » with David Allen, Live in Paris was recorded at one of Paris’ most famous Jazz venues, the New Morning Club. Both unclassifiable players, they exhibit multi-cultural influences which have been moulded into recognisably individual styles. Their performance displays an affinity for a wide varierty of folk music, from the east and the west, much of it coloured by the earthy power of jazz. Musical soulmates, their playing devotails technically and emotionally in a concert that, with four encores, exceeded three hours. Pierre and Didier at their inimitable best.
